Prophet Jonah - 10:49 "Say: "Except Allah wills, I have no power to harm or benefit even myself. Every community has a term. When their term is over, they will neither be delayed for an hour nor brought forward."
Messengers are men like us:
The Night Journey/17:93 "Or you should have a house of gold, or you should ascend to heaven. Even if you ascend, we will not believe in it until you send down upon us a Book that we may read."Say: "Great is my Lord. Am I but a human being, a messenger?"

Prophet Joseph/12:109 We did not send before you except men whom We revealed to you from among the inhabitants of the cities. Do they not travel through the earth and see the fate of those before them? Is the abode of the Hereafter better for the righteous; do you not understand?
The Family Of Imran/3:144 Muhammad is only a messenger and many messengers have come before him. If he dies or is killed, will you turn back? The apostates can do no harm to Allah. Allah will reward those who give thanks.
Prophet Abraham/14:11 "And their messengers said to them: "Surely we are human beings like you. But Allah chooses whom He wills from among His servants and bestows favor upon him.
