Prophet Hud - 11:110
We gave Moses the Book, but they differed in it. Had it not been for a promise of your Lord, they would have been judged between them. They are in doubt about it, they are undecided.
What is the intention?
The Heights/7:34
Every community has a term. When their term comes, they can neither postpone it a moment nor bring it forward.
The Believers/23:43
No people can hasten or delay the term appointed for them.
Sheva/34:30
"Say, "You have a day appointed for you which will not be an hour late or an hour early."
Prophet Jonah/10:49
"Say: "Except Allah wills, I have no power to harm or benefit even myself. Every community has a term. When their term is over, they will neither be delayed for an hour nor brought forward."
Originator/35:45
Had Allah punished mankind for what they used to do, He would have left no creature on the earth. But He postpones them until a certain term. When their term is over, then Allah will take account of His servants.

"He said: "O Noah, descend from us in peace and blessings for you and the nations that are with you. And there are also such nations that We will make them live for a while and then a painful torment will touch them from Us."
The Cave/18:58
Your Lord is Forgiving, the Owner of Mercy. If He had reckoned them immediately for what they did, He would have hastened the torment for them. But He gives them a definite term, beyond which they cannot escape.
