Prophet Hud - 11:31
I do not say that the treasures of Allah are with me, nor do I know the secret, nor do I claim to be an angel, nor do I say that Allah will not grant any favor to those whom your eyes despise. Allah knows better their secret thoughts. Otherwise I would be of the wrongdoers.
The disbelievers mocked and despised those who believed:
The Cow/2:13
"When it is said to them, "Believe as this people believe,"they say, "Shall we believe as the fools believe?"They are the real fools, but they do not know."
The Cow/2:14
"When they meet those who believe, they say, "We believe"; but when they are alone with their devils, they say, "We are with you. We are only mocking."
Prophet Hud/11:27
"The leaders of his people who disbelieved said, "We see that you are only a man like us, and we see that no one follows you except the shallow-minded rabble among us. Nor do we see any superiority in you over us. On the contrary, we think that you are liars."

"They said, "How can we believe in you when those who follow you are lowly and evil people?"
The Cow/2:212
The life of this world is attractive for the disbelievers. That is why they mock the believers. But the righteous are above them on the Day of Resurrection. Allah bestows bounties to whom He wills without calculation.
The Table Spread/5:58
When you called them to prayer, they mocked and amused themselves with it. They are a people who do not think.
The Repentance/9:79
Those who criticize the generosity of the believers who give voluntarily and mock the poor who cannot give much, Allah will humiliate them. For them is a painful torment.
Prophet Hud/11:38
"When he was building the ark, the elders of his people were mocking him every time he passed by. He said: "If you mock us, we mock you as you mock us."
The Believers/23:109
"A group of My servants used to say: "Our Lord, we believed, forgive us, have mercy on us, you are the most merciful of the merciful"."

But you mocked them and forgot to remember Me because of them. You were laughing at them.

Many of them do not believe."

The criminals used to laugh at the believers.

You will be tested with your money and your lives. You will hear many insults from those who were given the Book before you and from those who associate partners. If you persevere and lead a virtuous life, you will have done a great deed.
