Prophet Hud - 11:34
"He said: "If Allah has willed that you should be corrupt, even if I wish to advise you, my advice will be of no use to you. He is your Lord and to Him you will be returned."
The admonitions in the Books of Allah increase the hatred of the disbelievers:
The Night Journey/17:41
We have explained in the Qur´an that they may take admonition, but this only increases their hatred
The Night Journey/17:45
When you recite the Qur´an, We place between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter an invisible barrier.
The Night Journey/17:46
And We put shells in their hearts and weights in their ears to prevent them from understanding it. When you remember your Lord only in the Qur´an, they turn back in hatred

We have sent down the Qur´an as a healing and mercy for those who believe, while it only increases the harm of the wrongdoers.

"You read disbelief on the faces of the disbelievers when Our clear Verses are recited to them. They will almost attack those who recite Our Verses to them. Say, "Shall I inform you of something worse than that? Fire! Allah has promised it to the disbelievers. What an evil consequence!"

"When it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful,"they say, "What is the Most Merciful? Shall we prostrate to that which you defend against us?"And this only increases their hatred."

They swore by Allah with all their might that if a warner came to them, they would be on a more right path than any people. When a messenger came to them, it only increased their hatred
