The Thunder - 13:7
"The disbelievers say, "Should not a miracle have come down to him? You are but a warner. For every people there is a Guidance."
The disbelievers of the People of the Book did not demand miracles in order to believe, but in order to make things difficult and not to believe. Even if a miracle came, they would not believe:
The Thunder/13:31
Even if there were a Qur´an by which the mountains are moved, or the earth is torn asunder, or the dead are raised (they would not believe). All affairs are under the control of Allah. Have the believers not yet realized that if Allah willed, He could guide all mankind to the truth? Those who disbelieve will suffer a calamity, either upon their heads or upon their relatives, as a reward for what they have done, until Allah´s Word is fulfilled. Allah does not go back on His word.
The Romans/30:58
"We have given every kind of example to the people in this Qur´an. If You bring them a miracle, the disbelievers will say, "You are the ones who were mistaken."
The Cattle/6:7
"Even if We had sent down to you a Book written on paper and they had touched it with their hands, the disbelievers would have said, "This is only a manifest magic."
The Cow/2:145
Even if you bring to those who have been given the Book all kinds of signs (miracles), they will still not turn towards your Qiblah. Nor will you follow their qibla. Nor do they follow each other´s qibla. If you follow their pleasure after this knowledge has come to you, you will be of the wrongdoers.

The Cattle/6:25
"Some of them listen to you. But We put veils over their hearts to prevent them from understanding and weights over their ears. Even if they see every miracle, they do not believe in it. So when they come to you, they dispute with you, and the disbelievers say, "This is but a myth."

"They said, "Send down upon us the masses from the sky if you are truthful."

"And if they see a particle fall from the sky, they say: "It is a cloud!"

If their turning away is too much for you, know that even if you had the power to make a hole in the earth or a ladder in the sky, it would not profit you if you presented a miracle. Had Allah willed, He would have guided them. So do not be among the ignorant.
The Heights/7:146
I will turn away from My miracles those who are unjustly arrogant in the earth. Even if they see all kinds of miracles, they will not believe. If they see the right path, they do not follow it. But if they see the way of transgression, they follow it. For they denied Our Verses and paid no heed.
The Cow/2:118
"The ignorant said, "Should not Allah have spoken to us or a sign (miracle) have come to us?"Those before them had spoken like them. Their minds are alike. We show the miracles to those who believe."
