Prophet Abraham - 14:9
"Has not reached you the news of those who were before you, of Noah and the people of Aad and Thamud and those who came after them, whom only Allah knows? Their messengers went to them with clear proofs, but they despised them and said: "We disbelieve in what you have brought and we have doubts and misgivings about the message to which you call us"."
They belittled the messengers and denied:
The Heights/7:65
"And We sent to the people of Ad their brother Hud, saying: "My people, worship Allah. You have no god but Him. Will you not be righteous?"
The Heights/7:66
"The disbelievers from among his people said, "We see you in folly. We think you a liar."
Prophet Hud/11:25
"We sent Noah to his people: "Verily, I am a warner for you, clear."
Prophet Hud/11:26
Serve none but Allah. I fear that you may suffer the torment of a painful day.
Prophet Hud/11:27
"The leaders of his people who disbelieved said, "We see that you are only a man like us, and we see that no one follows you except the shallow-minded rabble among us. Nor do we see any superiority in you over us. On the contrary, we think that you are liars."
Prophet Hud/11:38
"When he was building the ark, the elders of his people were mocking him every time he passed by. He said: "If you mock us, we mock you as you mock us."
The Believers/23:24
"The prominent disbelievers of his people said, "This is nothing but a man like you. He wants to rule over you. Had Allah willed, He could have sent down an angel. We did not hear anything like this from our first ancestors."

He is only a mad man. Observe him for a while.

"Pharaoh said, "O you elders, I do not know a better god for you than I. Haman, prepare bricks for me by kindling a fire in the clay and build a tower so that I may reach the God of Moses. I believe that he is a liar."
