The Bee - 16:94 Do not misuse your oaths among yourselves lest your firm feet slip. You will taste misery and deserve a painful torment because you have strayed from the Way of Allah.
The disbelievers deserve the torment for what they used to do:
The Spoils of War/8:50 "If you had only seen the angels taking the lives of those who disbelieve! They were striking their faces and their backs (your enemies who attacked and fled): "Taste the torment!"
The Spoils of War/8:51 This is in recompense for what your hands did. Surely Allah is not unjust to the servants.

Council/42:30 Any evil that touches you is a consequence of what you used to do. And He forgives most of them.

The Pilgrimage/22:9 He strives arrogantly to mislead from the way of Allah. For him is disgrace in the life of this world. And on the Day of Resurrection We will make him taste a burning torment.
The Pilgrimage/22:10 "This is because of what your hands have done for you."Allah is not unjust to His servants"

The Night Journey/17:13 We have tied the destiny of every human being to his own neck (personal choice). On the Day of Resurrection, We will make a record for him and publish it

Prophet Jonah/10:54 If a wronged soul had all that is in the earth, it would want to ransom it. When they see the torment, they will feel deep remorse. They will be judged with justice and they will not be wronged.

The Dawn/89:23 On that Day Hell will also be brought. On that Day man will understand. Then what is the use of understanding for him!
