The Night Journey - 17:1
Most High is He Who took His servant by night from the Holy Mosque (in Makkah) to the farthest mosque (the place of prostration), around which He made it blessed, to show him some of Our signs. Surely He is the Hearing, the Seeing
Allah shows miracles to His chosen messengers to strengthen their faith:

But look at this mountain; if it stands still, then you will see me."When his Lord appeared to the mountain, He shattered it, and Moses fell unconscious. When he came to his senses, he said, "You are great, to You I turn, and I am the foremost of the believers."
