The Night Journey - 17:57 Even those whom they call seek a way to draw near to their Lord. They hope for His mercy and fear His punishment. The punishment of your Lord is something to be avoided.
The people of Makkah took Jesus, the prophet Uzeyr, the angels and the religious leaders as gods beside Allah and served them:
The Repentance/9:30 "The Jews said: "Uzeyr is the son of Allah". And the Christians said: "Christ is the son of Allah". This is the word of their mouths. They imitate the words of those who disbelieved before. Allah will condemn them. How are they being converted?"
The Repentance/9:31 They took the scribes and the religious leaders and the Messiah, the son of Mary, as gods apart from God. But they were commanded to serve only one God. There is no god but Him. And He is Most High from those whom they associate as partners.
The Star/53:19 Have you seen Lat and Uzza (your female idols)?
The Star/53:20 And Menat, the third of them?
The Star/53:21 Are the males yours and the females His?
The Star/53:22 What an unfair division!
The Star/53:23 They are nothing but names that you and your fathers called them, and Allah has not sent down for them any proof. They follow only their delusions and personal desires, while a guidance has come to them from their Lord.
The Star/53:27 Those who do not believe in the Hereafter describe the angels as female.
Prophet Jonah/10:66 To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Those who invoke others besides Allah are not following the partners they have set up. They are only guessing and only talking nonsense.
Prophet Jonah/10:68 "They said: "Allah has adopted a child!"He is far greater than that. He is the One who does not need anything. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. You have no proof in this matter. Do you say about Allah what you do not know?"
The Bee/16:51 "Allah said, "Do not have two gods, there is no god but Him. Beware only of Me."
The Bee/16:52 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. And the religion is His alone at all times. Do you fear anyone other than Allah?
The Cow/2:116 "They said: "Allah has taken a child". Glory be to Him. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and to Him all is subject."
The Women/4:171 "People of the Book! Do not exceed the limits in your religion. Speak only the truth about Allah. Jesus Christ, son of Mary, is only a messenger of Allah and His word which He sent to Mary, and a life from Him. Believe in Allah and His messengers. Do not say, "There are three."Put an end to it for your own benefit. Allah alone is the only God. He is greater than having children. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Allah is sufficient as a Surrogate."
The Women/4:172 Neither the Messiah nor the angels close to him despises being a servant of Allah. And whoever despises servitude to Him and is arrogant, He will gather them all to His Presence.
Sheva/34:40 "On the Day when He gathers them all together, He will say to the angels: "Were these your servants?"
The Women/4:117 They serve goddesses apart from Him. In fact, they serve none but the stubborn Satan.
Mary/19:91 Because they ascribed a child to the Most Merciful.
Mary/19:92 It does not befit the Most Merciful to have children.
Mary/19:93 Whoever is in the heavens and the earth will come to the Most Merciful as a servant.
The Prophets/21:26 "They said: "The Most Merciful has taken a child". He is exalted. But they are honorable servants."
The Prophets/21:27 They do not utter a word before Him, and they follow His commands strictly.
