Ta-Ha - 20:16
Let not those who do not believe in it and follow their whims lead you astray from it, then you will fall on your heads.

If you follow most of those on the earth, they will lead you astray from the Way of Allah. They follow only conjecture and they only speculate and talk nonsense.
Prophet Jonah/10:66
To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Those who invoke others besides Allah are not following the partners they have set up. They are only guessing and only talking nonsense.

O you who believe, beware of conjecture, for part of conjecture is sin. Do not inquire into one another´s secret things and do not backbite one another. Do you like to eat the flesh of your dead brother? Surely you abhor it. Listen to Allah. Allah is All-accepting of repentance, All-merciful.

"And because they said: "We killed Jesus Christ, son of Mary, the messenger of Allah"... But they did not kill him nor hang him, but they thought that they had done so. All sects are in doubt about this. They do not have any knowledge about it; they are only following conjecture. They did not kill him with certainty."

"When they were told that the Word of Allah is a truth and that the Hour is an inevitable event, you used to say: "We do not know what the Hour is, we only have various conjectures and we have no certain knowledge about it"."

Allah wants to respond to your turning towards Him, while those who follow their desires and whims want you to go astray.
