The Prophets - 21:8
We did not create them as bodies that did not eat, nor were they immortal.
The disbelievers of the People of the Book demanded that an angel should descend to support the claims of Prophet Muhammad in order to believe, and that is why they rejected his messengership:
The Criterion/25:21
"Those who did not expect to meet Us said: "Either angels should descend on us or we should see our Lord". They were arrogant to themselves and had gone far in rebellion."
The Rocky Tract/15:6
"They said: "O you who have been sent down the Message, you are a madman."

Bring us the angels if you are truthful.

"They say, "Should not an angel have been sent down to him!"If We had sent down an angel, the work would have been finished. They would not have been given time."

"Perhaps your chest will be constricted and you will abandon some of what has been revealed to you because they say, "Should not a treasure have descended to him, or an angel with him?"You are only a warner; Allah is the Controller of all things."
The Night Journey/17:94
"When Hidayet came to them, the people said: "Has Allah sent a human being as a messenger?"
The Night Journey/17:95
"Say: "If there were angels inhabiting the earth, We would have sent to them an angel from heaven as a messenger."
The Prophets/21:7
We did not send before you any messenger except to men, but We revealed to them; ask the experts if you do not know.
