The Poets - 26:131
You should listen to Allah and follow me.
The people of 'Ad were a corrupt people, associating partners with Allah:
The Heights/7:70
"They said: "Have you come to us that we may serve Allah alone and abandon what our forefathers served? Bring us what you threatened us with if you are truthful."
Explained in Detail/41:15
"As for Ad, they were arrogant in the earth unjustly and said: "Who is stronger than us?"Do they not realize that Allah, Who created them, is stronger than them? They were willfully disbelieving in Our signs and miracles."
Prophet Hud/11:59
Such were the people of Ad. They rejected the Verses of their Lord, rebelled against His messengers and followed the command of every stubborn tyrant.
The Poets/26:123
The people of Ad also denied the messengers.

"Their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not act righteously?"

I am a trustworthy messenger sent to you.

Listen to Allah and follow me.

And I do not ask of you any wage in return for this. My wage belongs only to the Lord of the Universes.

Do you place a sign (a structure) on every hill and linger?

Do you build strong structures so that you may abide forever?

This is the way of life followed by those before us.

So they denied him. Finally We destroyed them. There is a lesson in this, but the majority do not believe.
