Whoever strives for Us strives for himself. Allah is not in need of anyone.
Allah is not in need of you unless you strive, and He is rich and powerful to replace you with a people who will strive:

Believers, whoever turns away from his religion, know this: Allah brings a people whom He loves, and they love Him. They are humble towards the believers and strong and firm against the disbelievers. Those are they to whom We gave the Book and wisdom and prophethood. If that people disbelieve in them, We will replace them with a people who will not disbelieve in them.

To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Allah is sufficient as a protector.

People! If He wills, He will remove you and bring others. Allah is sufficient in power.
