"Some fools among the people: "What made them turn away from the Qiblah to which they used to turn?"Say: "To Allah belongs the east and the west. He guides whoever He wills."
The meaning is that wherever you turn, Allah's face is there:

To Allah belongs the east and the west. Wherever you turn, there is the face of Allah. Allah is all-encompassing and all-knowing.
