The Prostration - 32:5
He controls all affairs from the heavens to the earth. Then they ascend to Him in a day equal to a thousand years of what you count.
Our Lord sends down the angels to oversee the affairs of the universe:
The Smoke/44:3
We sent it down on a blessed night to warn.
The Smoke/44:4
In it all matters of wisdom are determined.
The Smoke/44:5
It is a command from Us; We send messengers.
The Smoke/44:6
As a mercy from your Lord. He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
The Majesty/97:3
The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.
The Majesty/97:4
On that night the angels and the Spirit (Gabriel) descend by the permission of their Lord to fulfill all the commands.
Divorce/65:12
It is Allah Who created the seven heavens and as much of the earth. The commands flow between them. So that you may know that Allah is all-powerful and that Allah encompasses all things with knowledge.

They ask forgiveness for those who believe: "Our Lord, Your mercy and Your knowledge encompass all things.
