The Companies - 39:50
Those before them said the same thing, but what they earned did not benefit them
The previous guilty people made a mockery of the messengers' threats and defied them, and they were of those who were destroyed:
The Sandhills/46:22
"Have you come to us to lead us astray from our gods? Bring us what you have promised us if you are truthful"."
The Sandhills/46:24
"When they finally saw it spreading and heading towards their valley, they said: "This is a cloud that will give us rain. Nay, this is a storm with a painful torment which you have challenged to come."
The Heights/7:77
"They slaughtered the camel with torture and rebelled against the command of their Lord: "Salih, if you are indeed one of the Messengers, bring upon us the torment of which you threatened us"."
The Heights/7:78
Then a tremor seized them; they fell down on their knees in their houses.

"We also sent Lot, and he said to his people: "You are committing a sin that no one before you has ever committed."

"You are having sexual intercourse with men, cutting the roads and committing every evil in your gatherings."The only response of his people was to say, "Bring the punishment of Allah if you are of the truthful."

"They said: "Have you come to us that we may serve Allah alone and abandon what our forefathers served? Bring us what you threatened us with if you are truthful."

"He said: "You are condemned to a torment and anger from your Lord. Are you disputing with me about names which you and your fathers invented and to which Allah has not given them any power? Wait, and I am of those who wait with you."
The Heights/7:72
We saved him and those with him as a Mercy from Us, and We cut off those who denied Our Verses and disbelieved.
Prophet Hud/11:32
"They said: "O Noah, you disputed with us and prolonged the dispute with us. Bring us what you threaten us with if you are truthful."
Prophet Hud/11:36
"It was revealed to Noah: "None of your people will believe now except those who have believed until now. Do not let their behavior grieve you."
Prophet Hud/11:37
Build the ark by our revelation under our supervision. Do not appeal to me for the wrongdoers; they will be drowned in the water.

And We sent Moses with Our signs (miracles and revelation) and with a clear authority.

To Pharaoh and his council. But they followed the command of Pharaoh. And Pharaoh´s command was not wise.

On the Day of Resurrection, he will lead his people and take them into the Fire. What an evil place they will enter!

A curse will follow them here and in the Hereafter. What an evil gift is the gift they receive!

What We have related to you is the news of those cities. Some of them are still standing and some of them have been slaughtered.
Prophet Hud/11:101
We did not wrong them, they wronged themselves. When the command of their Lord came, the gods they invoked besides Allah could not save them from anything. In fact, it only increased their loss.
Prophet Hud/11:102
This is how your Lord seizes the wrongdoing cities when He seizes them. His seizure is painful, severe.
The Spider/29:30
"He said, "My Lord, give me victory over this corrupt people."
The Spider/29:34
We will send down upon this city a calamity from the sky because they have gone astray.

"And to Median We sent their brother Shu´ayb. He said: "My people, serve Allah and seek the Last Day and do not make mischief in the earth."
The Spider/29:37
They denied him, so an earthquake seized them and they fell on their knees in their houses.
The Spider/29:38
Likewise Ad and Thamud. Their fate is evident to you from the places where they dwelt. Satan led them astray by making their deeds appear to them as adornment. Yet they were capable of seeing and understanding.
The Spider/29:39
And Karun, Pharaoh and Haman. Moses had gone to them with clear proofs, but they were arrogant in the earth. They could not escape.
The Spider/29:40
And We seized them all with their sins. And We sent upon some of them a mad storm, and a terrible sound seized some of them, and We drove some of them into the earth and drowned some of them. It was not Allah who wronged them; they wronged themselves.
