The Companies - 39:8 "When an evil touches man, he turns to his Lord and calls upon Him. And when He gives him a favor from Himself, he forgets whom he used to call upon and begins to associate partners with Allah to divert him from His Way. Say, "Live a little in your disbelief, you are of the people of the Fire."
People who rejoice at what is bestowed upon them and then become ungrateful:
Prophet Jonah/10:12 When a harm has touched a man, he calls out to Us while he is lying on his side or standing or sitting. And when We remove from him that which has harmed him, he behaves as if he had never called upon Us because of the harm that has touched him. This is how those who transgress are made to embellish their deeds.

The Pilgrimage/22:11 Among mankind there are some who serve Allah conditionally. He rejoices when his affairs go well, but when trouble befalls him, he turns away. Thus he loses the world and the Hereafter. That is the real loss.

Explained in Detail/41:51 When We bestow a blessing on man, he turns away. And when an evil befalls him, he begs and pleads.

The Companies/39:49 "When an evil touches a man, he calls out to Us; but when We bestow on him a blessing, he says: "This has been given to me because of my knowledge". Indeed it is a test, but many do not know"

Explained in Detail/41:49 Man never tires of asking for good. But when an evil touches him, he is despairing, pessimistic.
Explained in Detail/41:50 "When We give him a taste of mercy from Us after his distress, he says: "This belongs to me. I do not think that the end of the world will come. And if I am returned to my Lord, there are better things for me in His Presence."We will certainly inform the disbelievers of the true nature of what they used to do. We will make them taste a severe torment."

The Night Journey/17:83 When We bestow a blessing on man, he turns away and turns aside. And when evil touches him, he falls into despair

Prophet Hud/11:9 If We give man a taste of mercy from Ourselves and then take it away from him, he becomes despondent and ungrateful.
Prophet Hud/11:10 "If We give him a taste of blessings after the harm that has touched him, he says, "The evil has gone from me."This time he is joyful and arrogant."

Council/42:48 If they turn away, We have not sent you to them as a guardian; your duty is only to inform. When We give man a taste of mercy from Us, he rejoices in it; but when evil befalls them as a result of what they themselves have done, then man becomes ungrateful.

The Stories/28:77 Seek the abode of the Hereafter with the favors Allah has bestowed upon you, without forgetting your share in this world. Do good to Allah as He has done good to you. Do not seek to make corruption in the earth. Allah does not love the corrupters.
The Stories/28:78 "He said, "All this has been given to me because of my knowledge and skill."Does he not know that Allah destroyed many generations before him who had greater power and numerical majority than he? The criminals will not be asked about their crimes."

The Cave/18:32 Give them the example of two men: We gave one of them two vineyards, which We surrounded with date palms and planted other crops between them.
The Cave/18:33 We placed a river between them, so both vineyards yielded their fruit bountifully.
The Cave/18:34 "Now he had a crop! So he said to his companion, "I am richer than you and have more men."
The Cave/18:35 "So he entered his vineyard in self-persecution and said, "I do not think it will ever perish."
The Cave/18:36 "I do not think the end of the world will come, and if I am returned to my Lord, I will find something better there."
The Cave/18:37 "His friend who spoke to him said to him: "Do you deny your Lord, Who created you from dust, a tiny drop, and formed you into a man?"
The Cave/18:38 "As for me. Allah is my Lord, and I do not associate anything with my Lord."
The Cave/18:39 "Should you not have said as you entered your vineyard, ´This is a gift from Allah, and strength is only with Allah´? You may see that I have less money and children than you, but"
The Cave/18:40 "Perhaps my Lord will give me a better garden than yours, and perhaps He will send a calamity on your garden from the sky and it will turn into a dry land.
The Cave/18:41 "Or its water will sink to the bottom and you will not find water again."
The Cave/18:42 "Then its produce was destroyed. And he began to mourn for the labor he had put into his vineyard, whose arbors were piled upon it, and he said, "I wish I had not associated partners with my Lord."
The Cave/18:43 He could not find any support to help him except Allah. Nor could he save himself.

The Heights/7:189 "He created you from a single soul (with the same genetic characteristics). And from him He created his mate so that he might find rest. When he approached his mate, he loaded her with a light burden and traveled with her. When his burden became heavy, they both begged their Lord, Allah: "If you give us a perfect child, we shall be among the thankful."
The Heights/7:190 When He gave them a perfect child, they began to associate partners with Him for this gift He had given them. Allah is far greater than all that they associate partners with.

The Bee/16:53 Every blessing that reaches you is from Allah. Indeed, when you are in distress, you call upon Him alone.
The Bee/16:54 But when He removes that distress from you, a group of you immediately begin to associate partners with their Lord,

The Spider/29:65 When they board the ship, they call upon Him, making the religion belong to Allah alone. But when We deliver them from the sea, they start associating partners again.
