Hold fast to the rope of Allah, and do not differ. Remember the favor of Allah upon you. When you were enemies, He united your hearts and by His favor you became brothers. You were on the edge of a pit of fire and He saved you from it. This is how Allah explains His verses so that you may be guided.
What is meant by the rope of Allah?
Luqman/31:22
Whoever turns to Allah with all his heart in good behavior is bound by the strongest bond. Allah controls all affairs.
The Cow/2:256
There is no compulsion in religion. So the truth is separated from error. Whoever disbelieves in Taghut (despots and evil doctrines) and believes in Allah, he has clung to an unbreakable and firm bond. Allah Hears, Knows.
The Women/4:146
Except those who repent, make amends, cling to Allah and make their religion belong to Allah alone... These are with the believers. Allah will then give the believers a great reward.
