The Family Of Imran - 3:144 Muhammad is only a messenger and many messengers have come before him. If he dies or is killed, will you turn back? The apostates can do no harm to Allah. Allah will reward those who give thanks.
in the context of verses 121, 122...69; related to the war described:
The Family Of Imran/3:123 Indeed, Allah helped you and gave you victory at Badr when you were weak. You should listen to Allah to express your thanks.
The Family Of Imran/3:124 "You were saying to the believers: "Is it not enough for you that your Lord supports you with three thousand angels sent down?"
The Family Of Imran/3:125 Yes, if you resist hardship and behave righteously, your Lord will support you with five thousand trained angels if they were to attack you at this moment.
The Family Of Imran/3:126 Allah tells you this only as good news that will soothe your hearts. Victory is only from Allah, the Mighty and Wise.
The Family Of Imran/3:127 So He destroys some of the disbelievers or neutralizes and defeats them.

The Spoils of War/8:5 Indeed, your Lord took you out of your home for the fulfillment of a certain plan. A group of the believers disliked it.
The Spoils of War/8:6 They were disputing with you about it as if they were being driven to death while the truth was revealed.
The Spoils of War/8:7 Allah had promised you to defeat one of the two groups, but you wanted to meet the weaker of the two. But Allah wishes to realize the truth by His words and to cut off the pursuit of the disbelievers.
The Spoils of War/8:8 That He may realize the truth and remove injustice, even though the guilty dislike it.
The Spoils of War/8:9 "You were pleading with your Lord to save you, and He answered you, "I will support you with a thousand angels, one after the other"."
The Spoils of War/8:10 Allah did this only as good news and to soothe your hearts. Victory is from Allah alone. Allah is Superior, Wise.
The Spoils of War/8:11 He was lulling you to sleep as a security from Himself, and He was sending down upon you water from the sky to cleanse you (from the depression of thirst), to drive away from you the filth of Satan (despair), to convince your hearts and to strengthen your feet.
The Spoils of War/8:12 "Your Lord revealed to the angels (and therefore to the believers): "I am with you, support those who believe. I will strike fear into the hearts of the disbelievers, strike their necks, strike every finger of their hands."
The Spoils of War/8:13 Because they actively fought against Allah and His messenger. Whoever fights against Allah and His messenger, surely the punishment of Allah is severe.
The Spoils of War/8:14 Taste this. And for the disbelievers there is a torment of Fire.
The Spoils of War/8:15 O you who believe, when you meet the disbelievers who take hostile action against you, do not turn your backs on them.
The Spoils of War/8:16 Whoever on that Day turns his back and runs away except as a tactic of war or to join another unit, has incurred the wrath of Allah and his abode is Hell. What an evil abode.
The Spoils of War/8:17 You did not kill them, but Allah did. And when you threw, you did not throw, but Allah did. But thus He tested the believers with a good test. Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
The Spoils of War/8:18 Thus Allah foils the plans of the disbelievers.
The Spoils of War/8:42 When you were on the far side of the valley and they were on the far side of the valley. And the caravan was lower than you. If you had decided on this encounter, you would have disagreed about it. But Allah was carrying out a pre-planned deed. So that that which is destroyed may be destroyed with a clear proof, and that which lives may be kept alive with a clear proof. Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
The Spoils of War/8:43 Allah made them seem little to you in your dream. Had He shown them to you many, you would have scattered and disputed about it. But Allah saved (you). He knows the essence of the breasts.
The Spoils of War/8:44 When the time came and you met them, He made them little in your eyes, and He made you little in their eyes, so that Allah might accomplish what was planned beforehand. The affairs return to Allah in the end.
The Spoils of War/8:45 O you who believe, when you meet an army, endure and remember Allah much so that you may succeed.
The Spoils of War/8:46 Follow Allah and His messenger and do not quarrel, lest you become weak and lose your strength. Resist against difficulties. Surely Allah is with the patient.

The Repentance/9:25 Allah helped you on many occasions. On the day of Hunayn you were proud of your numbers. But your numbers did you no good. Indeed, the earth became narrow for you despite its vastness and you turned and fled.
The Repentance/9:26 Then Allah sent down on His Apostle and the believers security and comfort from Himself, and He sent down armies that you did not see, and so He punished the disbelievers. This is the punishment of the disbelievers.
The Repentance/9:40 "If you do not help him, Allah has helped him. (For example) the disbelievers drove him out as the second of the two. And when the two of them were in the cave, he used to say to his companion, "Do not grieve, Allah is with us"... Allah sent down on him peace and security and humbled the word of the disbelievers by supporting them with armies you did not see. Exalted is the word of Allah alone. Allah is the Exalted, the Wise."

The Coalition/33:9 O you who believe, when armies attack you, remember the favor of Allah, Who sends upon you a wind and armies that you do not see. Allah is All-Seeing of all that you do.
The Coalition/33:10 They attacked you from above you and from below you. And the eyes were turned, and the hearts were in their mouths, and you were harboring various doubts about Allah.
The Coalition/33:11 The believers were tried there and shaken violently.
The Coalition/33:12 "The hypocrites and those whose hearts were diseased were saying: "The promise of Allah and His messenger to us is nothing but a pipe dream!"
The Coalition/33:13 "A group of them were saying, "People of Yathrib, you cannot hold on any longer; go back."The other group of them were asking permission from the Prophet, saying, "Our houses are unprotected,"even though their houses were protected. Their whole purpose was to escape."
The Coalition/33:14 If it had been occupied and they had been asked to join the enemy, they would have joined them without hesitation.
The Coalition/33:15 They had promised Allah before that they would not turn their backs and flee. Every promise made to Allah will be questioned.
The Coalition/33:16 "Say, "Fleeing from death or war will not benefit you. Even if you flee, you will not live long."
The Coalition/33:17 "Say, "If Allah wills for you an evil or a mercy, who will protect you against Him? They will not find any protector or helper besides Allah."
The Coalition/33:18 "Allah knows those among you who hinder and those who say to their brothers, "Come to us". They seldom join the defense."
The Coalition/33:19 They are stingy in their dealings with you. When danger comes, you see them looking at you with their eyes wide with fear, like one who has fallen into a faint of death. And when the danger passes, they hurt you with sharp tongues, being fond of wealth. Such people are not believers. That is why Allah makes their deeds vain. This is easy for Allah.
The Coalition/33:20 They think that the parties are not gone. If the Parties were to come again, they would wish that they were among the Bedouin Arabs in the desert and that they could ask about your news from afar. Even if they were among you, they would fight very little.
The Coalition/33:21 In the Messenger of Allah is a good example for those of you who desire Allah and the Last Day and remember Allah often.
The Coalition/33:22 "When the believers see the parties (ready to attack), they say, "This is what Allah and His messenger promised us. Allah and His messenger have spoken the truth."This (dangerous situation) only strengthened their faith and submission."
The Coalition/33:23 There are such of the believers who have fulfilled their promise to Allah. Some of them fulfilled their pledge (became martyrs) and some of them are waiting. They have never wavered.
The Coalition/33:24 Thus Allah rewards the truthful with their truthfulness. And He punishes the hypocrites if He wills, or accepts their repentance. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
The Coalition/33:25 Allah turned the disbelievers back empty-handed with their anger. Allah thus spared the believers from war. Allah is the Mighty, the Superior.
The Coalition/33:26 And He brought down from their strongholds those of the people of the Book who supported them and put fear in their hearts. You were killing some of them and taking some of them prisoners.
The Coalition/33:27 And He made you inheritors of their land and their houses and their money and the land on which you have not yet set your foot. Allah is all-powerful.
