The Family Of Imran - 3:164 Allah was gracious in sending from among the believers a messenger who recited to them His Verses, purified them and taught them the Book and wisdom. But they were in manifest error before!
Muhammad's people were in error before the Qur'an was revealed:
Sheva/34:44 We had not given them a Book to study, nor had We sent them a warner before you.
Yaseen/36:5 This is a revelation sent down by the Most High and Most Merciful.
Yaseen/36:6 That you may warn a people who have remained totally ignorant because their forefathers were not warned.
The Congregation - Friday/62:2 He it is Who has sent a Messenger from among the Ummah, one of their own, who recites to them His verses, purifies them and teaches them the Book and wisdom. Before that they were in manifest error.
The Women/4:94 "Believers, be careful when you go out to fight in the way of Allah. Do not say to anyone who offers you peace, "You do not believe,"for the temporary benefit of this world´s life. For with Allah is much booty. You were like them before, but Allah has favored you. So search well and be sure. Allah is All-Knowing of what you do."
The Cow/2:198 It is permissible for you to seek the favor of your Lord (by trading in the Hajj region). When you leave Arafat, remember Allah in the Holy Place. Remember Him because He has guided you; before that you were astray.
Prophet Hud/11:49 These are the news of the unseen which We have revealed to you. Neither you nor your people knew them before this. So be patient. The result is for the righteous.
The Cattle/6:56 "Say: "I am forbidden to serve those whom you call besides Allah."Say: "I will not follow your pleasure, otherwise I will go astray and will not find the right path."
The Forgiver/40:66 "Say, "After clear proofs have come to me, I am forbidden from serving those whom you call upon besides Allah, and I am commanded to submit to the Lord of the Universes."

The Ornaments of Gold/43:19 They considered the angels, the servants of the Most Merciful, as female! Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded and they will be questioned.

The Star/53:23 They are nothing but names that you and your fathers called them, and Allah has not sent down for them any proof. They follow only their delusions and personal desires, while a guidance has come to them from their Lord.
Prophet Hud/11:109 Have no doubt about those whom they serve. They serve just as their forefathers served before. We will pay them their portion in full.
The Repentance/9:97 The Arabs are the most extreme in disbelief and hypocrisy. They are the closest to not recognizing what Allah has revealed to His Messenger. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
The Ornaments of Gold/43:5 Shall We stop conveying the Message to you because you are a transgressing people?
