The Family Of Imran - 3:190
In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of the night and the day, there are signs for those who have understanding.
Why was the day created?
The Romans/30:23
And of His signs is that you sleep by night and by day and seek of His bounty. There are signs in this for a people who listen.

He has made the night favorable for you to rest and the day light. In this are proofs for a people who listen.
