The Family Of Imran - 3:76 Whoever fulfills his promise and leads a virtuous life, know that Allah loves the virtuous.
What is the promise of the people of the Book to Allah?
The Family Of Imran/3:187 "Allah had taken a promise from those to whom the Book was given, saying, "You will certainly make it clear to the people and you will not conceal it."But they threw it behind their backs and sold it for a small price. What an evil exchange!"

The Table Spread/5:14 "We also took a promise from those who said, "We are Christians,"but they too forgot some of what they were warned about. So We put enmity and hatred between them until the Day of Resurrection. Allah will inform them of all that they did."

The Clear Evidence/98:4 Verily, those who were given the Book differed only after clear proof came to them.
The Clear Evidence/98:5 But they were asked to serve Him as monotheists whose religion belongs to Allah alone, and to observe prayer and pay the zakat. This is the true religion.

The Cow/2:40 Children of Israel! Remember My favor which I have bestowed upon you, and keep your promise to Me, so that I may keep My promise to you; fear Me alone!
The Cow/2:41 Believe in what I have sent down confirming what is with you. Do not be the first of those who oppose it. Do not exchange My signs for things of little value; fear Me alone.
The Cow/2:42 Do not knowingly confuse the truth with falsehood, and do not conceal the truth.
The Cow/2:146 Those to whom We have given the Book recognize these truths as they recognize their children, yet a group of them knowingly conceal the truth.

The Heights/7:169 "They were replaced by other generations who inherited the Book. But they said, "We shall be forgiven anyway,"and chose vile and transitory benefits. If similar temporary benefits came to them, they would still choose them. Was not a promise taken from them that they would adhere to the Book and speak only the truth about Allah? Have they not read and learned it? Better for the righteous is the abode of the Hereafter. Do you not understand?"
