The Family Of Imran - 3:97
There are clear signs there: It is the place of Abraham´s stand (against idolatry). Whoever enters it must be in safety. Those of the people who are able to travel are obliged to pilgrimage to that House (the Ka´bah) for the sake of Allah. Whoever disbelieves, let him know that Allah is not in need of anyone.
Abraham's stand against idolatry:
The Prophets/21:51
We had bestowed on Abraham the gift of understanding and comprehension before, and We knew him well.
The Prophets/21:52
"He said to his father and his people, "What are these statues to which you devote yourselves?"
The Prophets/21:53
"They said: "We found our fathers serving them"."
The Prophets/21:54
"When he said: "Verily, you and your fathers have fallen into manifest error","
The Prophets/21:55
"They said: "Have you brought us the truth or are you playing a game?"
The Prophets/21:56
"He said, "Indeed your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth; He created them separately. I am of those who bear witness to this."
The Prophets/21:57
"He said, "By Allah, as soon as you leave, I will execute a plan against your statues after you."
The Prophets/21:58
He tore them all to pieces, but did not touch the greatest of them, lest they might consult him.
The Prophets/21:59
"They said, "Whoever has done this to our gods is a true oppressor."
The Prophets/21:60
We heard of a young man who talked about them; he was called Abraham.
The Prophets/21:61
"They said, "Bring him before the people so that they may be witnesses."
The Prophets/21:62
Did you do this to our gods, O Abraham?
The Prophets/21:63
"No, it was those elders of theirs who did it. Ask them, if they speak"."
The Prophets/21:64
"They turned to their own conscience and said to themselves: "Indeed you are wrongdoers."
The Prophets/21:65
"Then they returned to their old minds: "You know very well that they cannot speak!"
The Prophets/21:66
"He said: "Do you serve beside Allah that which does you no good or harm?"
The Prophets/21:67
Woe to you and those whom you serve beside Allah. Do you not use your intellect?
The Prophets/21:68
"They said: "If you are going to do something, burn it and support your gods"."
The Prophets/21:69
"We said: "O Fire, be cool and safe for Abraham"."
The Prophets/21:70
So they tried to devise a plan for him, but We doomed them to failure.
