The Ornaments of Gold - 43:32
Do they divide the mercy of your Lord? We divided between them their livelihood in the life of this world, and We made them superior to one another in rank, so that they might cause one another to work. And the mercy of your Lord is better than what they have accumulated.
Prophethood is a mercy that Allah gives to whom He wills:
The Stories/28:86
You did not expect that you would be given this Book, but this is a mercy from your Lord. Do not back the disbelievers.

If We willed, We could take back what We have revealed to you, and you would not find any protector against Us.

The Family Of Imran/3:74
He extends His mercy to whom He wills. Allah is the Owner of Great Grace.

"He said: "O my people, what if I have a clear proof from my Lord and He has given me Mercy and it is not visible to your eyes? Shall we force you to it while you do not want it?"

We bestowed upon him his brother Aaron as a prophet as a mercy from Us.
