The Women - 4:72
"There are those among you who are slow. If a calamity befalls you, he says, "Allah has been good to me so that I did not fall a martyr with them"."
Those who die or are killed in the Way of Allah:
The Cow/2:154
"Do not say to those who are killed in the Way of Allah, "They are dead". On the contrary, they are alive, but you do not realize it."
The Family Of Imran/3:157
If you die or are killed in the way of Allah, you will have Allah´s forgiveness and mercy, which is better than all that they gather.

Do not think that those who are shot in the way of Allah are dead, but they are alive with their Lord in bliss.

They are rejoicing in what Allah has given them in abundance. They wish to give good news to their companions who have not yet joined them that there is no fear or sorrow.

"Their Lord answered them: "I will not leave unrewarded any of you who works, whether male or female; you are all equal. Those who emigrated, those who were expelled from their homes, those who were tortured and insulted in My way, those who fought and were killed... I will cover their evil deeds and place them in gardens with rivers flowing in them as a reward from Allah. The best reward is with Allah."
