The angels from the heavens and the prophets from the earth and the religious leaders whom you have taken as gods are servants who are responsible to serve the Most Merciful, and Allah is the Lord of them all:

In the context of verses 7, 8...16, a reference to the prophets Jesus and Uzeyr, the people of the book who took the religious leaders as gods beside God, and the polytheists of Mecca who took the angels as gods beside God, hoping for their intercession on the Day of Judgment:
