That their understanding may be completely removed, that they may never again find the right path:

The racist and jealous disbelievers of the People of the Book have always denied the Books, the Prophets and the miracles unless they were revealed to one of them:
The message of the Qur'an was the content of the previous books, so those who have been given the Book know that the Qur'an is the Word of Allah:
