بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
16:61 Had Allah punished mankind for their wrongdoing, He would not have left a creature therein, but He postpones them until a certain term. And when their term comes to an end, they will not be brought forward for an hour, nor will they be postponed.
16:62 They attribute to Allah that which they dislike, and they talk on their tongues the lie that they are well-deserving. Surely they will be abandoned to the Fire.
16:63 By Allah, when We sent messengers to the people before you, Satan made their deeds seem good to them. Indeed, he is their guardian (close friend) today. They are doomed to a painful torment.
16:64 We have sent down to you this Book so that you may make clear to them what they dispute. This Book is a guidance and a mercy for a people who believe.
16:65 Allah sends down water from the sky and with it He revives the earth after its death. In this is a sign for a people who listen.
16:66 There are also lessons for you in livestock. We offer you a substance that comes out of their bellies, that is, between the digested food and the blood, for you to drink: Pure milk, delicious to drink.
16:67 And from the fruit of date palms and grapes you get intoxicating drinks and a good sustenance. In this is a sign for a people who understand.
16:68 "And your Lord revealed to the bee: "Make houses from the mountains and trees and from what you build (hives)."
16:69 "Then eat of every kind of fruit and follow the plan of your Lord."Out of their bellies comes forth a drink of various colors containing healing for mankind. In this is a sign for people who think."
16:70 And Allah created you, then He ends your life. Some of you are made to live until the worst time of life so that they may not know anything after knowledge. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Powerful.
16:71 Allah has made you superior to one another in sustenance. Indeed, those who are made superior do not share their wealth equally with those under them. Do they reject the Blessing of Allah?
16:72 And Allah has created for you mates from your own kind, and from your mates He has created for you children and grandchildren, and has given you good sustenance. Do they then believe in falsehood and are they ungrateful for the Blessing of Allah?
16:73 They serve besides Allah those who are incapable of providing for them from the heavens and the earth.
16:74 So do not give examples to Allah; Allah knows while you do not know.
16:75 Allah gives the example of a slave who is incapable of anything and the one whom We provide from Our side with good sustenance, and he spends out of that sustenance in secret and in open charity. Are these two ever the same? Praise is to Allah, but many do not know.
16:76 Allah also gives the example of two men: One of them has no ability to do anything and is totally dependent on his master/owner, and whatever he puts him to work, he cannot accomplish anything. Can such a person be equal to the one who is on the right path and applies justice?
16:77 To Allah belong the mysteries of the heavens and the earth. The Hour (the end of the world) is as the blink of an eye or shorter. Allah is the All-Sufficient.
16:78 When Allah brought you out of the wombs of your mothers, you knew nothing. He gave you the senses of hearing and sight and brains so that you may give thanks.
16:79 Do they not see the birds created for the atmosphere of the sky? None but Allah holds them. Surely there are signs in this for a people who believe.
16:80 And Allah has made your houses shelters for you. From the skins of livestock He has provided portable houses for you to use on the day of travel and on the day of residence. And from their wool, furs and hairs He has made for you articles of clothing for a period of time.
