بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
20:81 Eat of the good of what We have given you and do not overdo it, lest you incur My wrath. Those who incur My wrath have fallen.
20:82 I am Forgiving to those who repent, believe, live righteously and seek the truth.
20:84 "They are following instruction,"he said, "and I hastened toward you, my Lord, that you may be pleased."
20:85 "He said, "We tested your people after you, and Samiri led them astray."
20:86 "Moses returned to his people, angry and disappointed, and said, "My people, did not your Lord give you a good promise? Could you not wait? Or did you break your covenant with me in order to incur the wrath of your Lord?"
20:87 We did not break our promise to you according to our own minds. The ornaments of that people were carried to us. We threw them away. This is what Samiri has brought forth.
20:88 "He raised for them the image of a braying calf. They said: "This is your God and the God of Moses, but he (Moses) forgot"."
20:89 Did they not see that he could give them no answer, nor could he do them any harm or benefit?
20:90 "And Aaron said: "My people, you are being tested by him. Your Lord is the Most Merciful. Follow me and obey my command."He had warned them beforehand."
20:91 "They replied, "We will continue to serve Moses until he comes."
20:92 "He said, "Aaron! What prevented you when you saw them going astray?"
20:94 "He said, "Son of my mother, do not pull my beard or my head, for I feared that you would reproach me, saying, ´Why did you divide the children of Israel, and why did you not keep my word?"
20:96 "He said, "I saw what they did not see, and I took some of the apostle´s teaching and threw it away."
20:97 "He said, "Go away! Do not even come near it for the rest of your life. Look at your god whom you serve, We will burn it and cast it into the sea."
20:98 Your God is Allah, besides whom there is no god. His Knowledge encompasses everything.
20:99 Thus do We relate to you the news of the past. We have given you a message from Our Presence.
20:100 Whoever turns away from it will carry a burden (of sin) on the Day of Resurrection.
