26:101
nor a close friend.
وَلَا صَد۪يقٍ حَم۪يمٍ
|
26:102
If only we had had another chance, we would have been believers.
فَلَوْ اَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِن۪ينَ
|
26:103
There is a lesson in that, but the majority do not believe.
اِنَّ ف۪ي ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةًۜ وَمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِن۪ينَ
|
26:104
Surely your Lord is the Superior, the Most Merciful.
وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَز۪يزُ الرَّح۪يمُ۟

26:105
Noah´s people denied the messengers.
كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍۨ الْمُرْسَل۪ينَۚ
|
26:106
"Their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not listen and act righteously?"
اِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ اَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ اَلَا تَتَّقُونَۚ
|
26:107
I am a trustworthy messenger sent to you.
اِنّ۪ي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ اَم۪ينٌۙ
|
26:108
You should listen to Allah and follow me.
فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَط۪يعُونِۚ
|
26:109
And I do not ask you for any wage in return for this. My wage belongs only to the Lord of the Universes.
وَمَٓا اَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَجْرٍۚ اِنْ اَجْرِيَ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبِّ الْعَالَم۪ينَۚ

26:110
You should listen to Allah and follow me.
فَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَط۪يعُونِۜ
|
26:111
"They said, "How can we believe in you when those who follow you are lowly and evil people?"
قَالُٓوا اَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَاتَّبَعَكَ الْاَرْذَلُونَۜ
|
26:112
"He said, "I have no knowledge of what they do."
قَالَ وَمَا عِلْم۪ي بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَۚ
|
26:113
Their reckoning belongs only to my Lord, if only you understood.
اِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ اِلَّا عَلٰى رَبّ۪ي لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَۚ
|
26:114
"He said: "Surely I cannot expel any believer."
وَمَٓا اَنَا۬ بِطَارِدِ الْمُؤْمِن۪ينَۚ
|
26:115
I am but a clear warner.
اِنْ اَنَا۬ اِلَّا نَذ۪يرٌ مُب۪ينٌۜ
|
26:116
"They said, "Look, Noah, if you do not stop this behavior, you will be of those who are stoned."
قَالُوا لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهِ۬ يَا نُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمَرْجُوم۪ينَۜ
|
26:117
"He said, "My Lord, my people have belied me."
قَالَ رَبِّ اِنَّ قَوْم۪ي كَذَّبُونِۚ
|
26:118
"He said: "Put a barrier between me and them and save me and the believers with me."
فَافْتَحْ بَيْن۪ي وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحاً وَنَجِّن۪ي وَمَنْ مَعِيَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِن۪ينَ
|
26:119
We saved him and those with him in a laden ship.
فَاَنْجَيْنَاهُ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ فِي الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِۚ
|
26:120
Then We drowned those who remained behind.
ثُمَّ اَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ الْبَاق۪ينَۜ
