26:181
Measure exactly. Do not be of those who deceive.
اَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُخْسِر۪ينَۚ

26:182
Weigh with the right scale.
وَزِنُوا بِالْقِسْطَاسِ الْمُسْتَق۪يمِۚ
|
26:183
And do not withhold from the people their due and do not create confusion in the earth by committing evil.
وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ اَشْيَٓاءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْاَرْضِ مُفْسِد۪ينَۚ

26:184
And honor Him who created you and the previous generations.
وَاتَّقُوا الَّذ۪ي خَلَقَكُمْ وَالْجِبِلَّةَ الْاَوَّل۪ينَۜ

26:185
"They said, "You are bewitched."
قَالُٓوا اِنَّـمَٓا اَنْتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّر۪ينَۙ
|
26:186
"They said, "You are only a man like us and we believe that you lie."
وَمَٓا اَنْتَ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا وَاِنْ نَظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِب۪ينَۚ

26:187
"They said, "Send down upon us the masses from the sky if you are truthful."
فَاَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفاً مِنَ السَّمَٓاءِ اِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِق۪ينَۜ

26:188
"He said, "My Lord knows very well what you do."
قَالَ رَبّ۪ٓي اَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ

26:189
They denied him, and as a result the punishment of the Day of Saywan seized them; it was the punishment of a great Day.
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَاَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ الظُّلَّةِۜ اِنَّهُ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظ۪يمٍ

There is a lesson in that, but the majority do not believe.
اِنَّ ف۪ي ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةًۜ وَمَا كَانَ اَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِن۪ينَ
|
26:191
Surely your Lord is the Exalted, the Most Merciful.
وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَز۪يزُ الرَّح۪يمُ۟

26:192
This is the revelation sent down by the Lord of the universes.
وَاِنَّهُ لَتَنْز۪يلُ رَبِّ الْعَالَم۪ينَۜ
|
26:193
The Trustworthy Spirit (Gabriel) has sent it down.
نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوحُ الْاَم۪ينُۙ
|
26:194
Into your heart... That you may be one of the warners.
عَلٰى قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُنْذِر۪ينَۙ
|
26:195
In a clear Arabic language.
بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِيٍّ مُب۪ينٍۜ
|
26:196
It has also been mentioned in the previous Books.
وَاِنَّهُ لَف۪ي زُبُرِ الْاَوَّل۪ينَ

26:197
Is it not a sufficient proof for them that the scholars of the Children of Israel knew it?
اَوَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ اٰيَةً اَنْ يَعْلَمَهُ عُلَمٰٓؤُ۬ا بَن۪ٓي اِسْرَٓائ۪لَۜ

Had We sent it down to some foreigners,
وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَاهُ عَلٰى بَعْضِ الْاَعْجَم۪ينَۙ

26:199
And if he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it.
فَقَرَاَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِه۪ مُؤْمِن۪ينَۜ

26:200
That is how We put it (like a foreign language) into the hearts of the guilty.
كَذٰلِكَ سَلَكْنَاهُ ف۪ي قُلُوبِ الْمُجْرِم۪ينَۜ
