بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
28:3 We have related to you a part of the story of Moses and Pharaoh in truth for a people who believe.
28:4 Pharaoh acted despotically in the land. He divided his people into classes, oppressing and exploiting one group of them, keeping their daughters alive and slaughtering their sons. He was a corrupter.
28:5 We favored those who were weakened and oppressed on the earth, that We might make them leaders and heirs.
28:6 And establish them on the earth, and show Pharaoh and Haman and their armies what they feared.
28:7 "To Moses´ mother: "Breastfeed him, but whenever you fear for his safety, throw him into the river. Do not fear, do not grieve. We will return him to you and make him one of the messengers."
28:8 Finally, Pharaoh´s family took the baby who would be an enemy and a source of sorrow for them. Pharaoh and Haman and their armies were the guilty ones.
28:9 "Pharaoh´s wife said, "May our eyes be enlightened. Do not kill him. Perhaps he will be of use to us, or we may adopt him as a son."They knew nothing of anything."
28:10 Moses´ mother´s heart was empty. Had We not strengthened her heart to believe, she would almost have revealed the situation
28:11 "He said to his sister, "Watch him."So she watched him from afar without anyone noticing."
28:12 "We made him refuse to accept his wet-mothers beforehand. Finally (his sister) said, "Shall I show you a family for you who will take care of him and treat him well?"
28:13 So We returned him to his mother so that his eyes may be enlightened and he may not grieve and he may know that the Word of Allah is true. But many do not know.
28:14 When he reached the age of maturity, We gave him wisdom and knowledge, and thus do We reward those who do good.
28:15 "He entered the city while his people were unaware. He saw two men fighting there, one from his side (Hebrew) and the other from the enemy´s side (Egyptian). The man from his side asked him for help against his enemy. So Moses struck the other with a blow and finished him off. He said, "This is the work of Satan; he is an enemy, a clear misleader."
28:16 "My Lord,"he said, "I have wronged myself, forgive me."And He forgave him. For He is Forgiving, Merciful."
28:17 "My Lord,"he said, "I will not help the guilty henceforth in return for the Blessing You have bestowed upon me."
28:18 "He spent the morning in the city in fear, looking around. The man who had asked him for help yesterday was crying out for help again. Moses said to him, "You are obviously a troublemaker."
28:19 "When he tried to catch their common enemy, he said, "Moses, do you want to kill me today, as you killed someone yesterday? You do not want to be righteous on the earth; you want to be a tyrant."
28:20 "A man came running from the other side of the city and said, "Moses, the elders are talking among themselves to kill you. Leave this place quickly; I am advising you."
