بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
31:4 Those who observe prayer and pay the zakat, and have no doubt about the Hereafter.
31:5 These are they who follow a path shown by their Lord and are the winners.
31:6 There are some of the people who cling to baseless hadiths in order to mislead the people from the way of Allah and make light of it. For them is a humiliating torment.
31:7 When Our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly, as if he had never heard them, as if there were a weight on his ears. Give him glad tidings of a painful torment.
31:8 For those who believe and do righteous deeds are Gardens of Bliss.
31:9 They will abide therein forever. The Word of Allah is the truth. He is the Exalted, the Wise.
31:10 He created the heavens without a pillar that you see. And He placed stabilizers on the earth that you may not be shaken, and He spread therein every kind of creature. And We rained down water from the sky, and We caused to grow therein every beautiful variety.
31:11 This is the creation of Allah. Show me what other than Him has created. The wrongdoers are indeed in manifest error.
31:12 "We gave wisdom to Lokman: "You should give thanks to Allah."Whoever is grateful is grateful for himself, and whoever is ungrateful, surely Allah is not needy, the Most Praised."
31:13 "When Lokman advised his son, he said: "My dear son, do not associate partners with Allah; surely shirk (associating partners with God) is a great wrong."
31:14 We admonished man about his parents, and his mother carries him with great difficulty. His weaning takes place in two years. You should thank Me and your parents. To Me is the return.
31:15 And if they contend with you that you should associate with Me something of which you have no knowledge, do not follow either of them. But you should treat them well in this world. Follow the way of those who turn to me. To Me is your return in the end, and I will inform you of all that you do.
31:16 "My dear son, whether the weight of a grain of mustard seed is in a rock or in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it. Allah is All-Loving, All-Knowing.
31:17 "My dear son, observe prayer, enjoin good, forbid evil, and be patient with what befalls you. These are the basic behaviors."
31:18 Do not despise the people in arrogance, and do not go about in the earth boasting. Allah does not love the proud and boastful.
31:19 Avoid ostentation in your walk and lower your voice. The ugliest sound is that of donkeys.
31:20 Do you not see that Allah has placed at your disposal whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and that He has showered upon you His favors both openly and secretly? There are some of the people who argue about Allah without knowledge, without a guide or a book.
