37:141
He resisted and became of those who slipped.
فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ الْمُدْحَض۪ينَۚ
|
37:142
The fish swallowed him, and he was responsible for that.
فَالْتَقَمَهُ الْحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُل۪يمٌ
|
37:143
Had he not remembered (God) and thought,
فَلَوْلَٓا اَنَّهُ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُسَبِّح۪ينَۙ
|
37:144
He would remain in her womb until the Day of Resurrection.
لَلَبِثَ ف۪ي بَطْنِه۪ٓ اِلٰى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
|
37:145
We threw him on a desert-like shore, tired and exhausted...
فَنَبَذْنَاهُ بِالْعَرَٓاءِ وَهُوَ سَق۪يمٌۚ

37:146
And We made a broad-leaved tree grow there for him.
وَاَنْبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةً مِنْ يَقْط۪ينٍۚ
|
37:147
We sent him to a hundred thousand or more.
وَاَرْسَلْنَاهُ اِلٰى مِائَةِ اَلْفٍ اَوْ يَز۪يدُونَۚ

37:148
They believed, so We provided for them for a while.
فَاٰمَنُوا فَمَتَّعْنَاهُمْ اِلٰى ح۪ينٍۜ

37:149
Ask them, their daughters to your Lord and their sons to themselves
فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ اَلِرَبِّكَ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ الْبَنُونَۙ
|
37:150
Or did We create the angels female before their eyes?
اَمْ خَلَقْنَا الْمَلٰٓئِكَةَ اِنَاثاً وَهُمْ شَاهِدُونَ
|
37:151
Indeed they say because of what they fabricate:
اَلَٓا اِنَّهُمْ مِنْ اِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَۙ
|
37:152
"Allah gave birth."They are liars."
وَلَدَ اللّٰهُۙ وَاِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ
|
37:153
Did He prefer girls to boys?
اَصْطَفَى الْبَنَاتِ عَلَى الْبَن۪ينَۜ
|
37:154
What has become of you, how do you decide?
مَا لَـكُمْ۠ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ
|
37:155
Do you not take admonition?
اَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَۚ
|
37:156
Or do you have a clear proof?
اَمْ لَـكُمْ سُلْطَانٌ مُب۪ينٌۙ
|
37:157
Bring your Book if you are truthful.
فَأْتُوا بِكِتَابِكُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِق۪ينَ
|
37:158
They even invented a kinship between Him and the jinn. But the jinn know that they will be questioned.
وَجَعَلُوا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْجِنَّةِ نَسَباًۜ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ الْجِنَّةُ اِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَۙ

37:159
Allah is Greater than what they ascribe to Him.
سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَۙ
|
37:160
Except His servants who devote themselves to Allah alone.
اِلَّا عِبَادَ اللّٰهِ الْمُخْلَص۪ينَ
|
