37:81
He was of Our servants who believed.
اِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِن۪ينَ
|
37:82
Then We drowned the others.
ثُمَّ اَغْرَقْنَا الْاٰخَر۪ينَ
|
37:83
Ibrahim was from one of his branches.
وَاِنَّ مِنْ ش۪يعَتِه۪ لَاِبْرٰه۪يمَۢ
|
37:84
He came to his Lord with a pure heart.
اِذْ جَٓاءَ رَبَّهُ بِقَلْبٍ سَل۪يمٍ
|
37:85
"He said to his father and his people, "What do you serve?"
اِذْ قَالَ لِاَب۪يهِ وَقَوْمِه۪ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَۚ
|
37:86
Do you want false gods besides Allah?
اَئِفْكاً اٰلِهَةً دُونَ اللّٰهِ تُر۪يدُونَۜ
|
37:87
What do you think the Lord of the universes is?
فَمَا ظَنُّكُمْ بِرَبِّ الْعَالَم۪ينَ
|
37:88
He looked at the stars.
فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةً فِي النُّجُومِۙ
|
37:89
"He said, "I am sick and tired of it."
فَقَالَ اِنّ۪ي سَق۪يمٌ
|
37:90
So they left him and went away.
فَتَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ مُدْبِر۪ينَ
|
37:91
"Then he turned to his gods and said, "Will you not eat?"
فَرَاغَ اِلٰٓى اٰلِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ اَلَا تَأْكُلُونَۚ
|
37:92
What is wrong with you, why do you not speak?
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنْطِقُونَ
|
37:93
And he came upon them and struck them with all his might.
فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْباً بِالْيَم۪ينِ
|
37:94
They rushed towards him
فَاَقْبَلُٓوا اِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ
|
37:95
"He said, "Do you serve what you have hewn?"."
قَالَ اَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَۙ
|
37:96
"Allah is the Creator of you and what you make"."
وَاللّٰهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
|
37:97
"They said, "Build for him a structure and throw him into the Fire"."
قَالُوا ابْنُوا لَهُ بُنْيَاناً فَاَلْقُوهُ فِي الْجَح۪يمِ
|
37:98
They thought of a plan for him, but We overcame them.
فَاَرَادُوا بِه۪ كَيْداً فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْاَسْفَل۪ينَ
|
37:99
"He said, "I go to my Lord; He will guide me."
وَقَالَ اِنّ۪ي ذَاهِبٌ اِلٰى رَبّ۪ي سَيَهْد۪ينِ
|
37:100
My Lord, grant me a righteous one.
رَبِّ هَبْ ل۪ي مِنَ الصَّالِح۪ينَ
|
