بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
3:101 How can you disbelieve when the verses of Allah are recited to you and His messenger is among you? Whoever clings to Allah is guided to the straight path.
3:102 Believers! Listen to Allah properly and die as Muslims (those who submit to God).
3:103 Hold fast to the rope of Allah, and do not differ. Remember the favor of Allah upon you. When you were enemies, He united your hearts and by His favor you became brothers. You were on the edge of a pit of fire and He saved you from it. This is how Allah explains His verses so that you may be guided.
3:104 Let there be among you a community calling to good, exhorting to prudence and forbidding evil. These are the successful.
3:105 Do not be like those who differed after clear proofs came to them. For them is a great torment.
3:106 "On that Day some faces will be justified and some faces will be darkened. Those whose faces will be darkened will be told: "Did you disbelieve after you believed? Taste the torment for your disbelief."
3:107 And those whose faces are purified are in the Mercy of Allah. They will abide therein forever.
3:108 These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you in truth. Allah does not wish to wrong anyone.
3:109 To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and all affairs are controlled by Allah.
3:110 You are the best community for the people. You exhort to good and forbid evil and believe in Allah. It would have been good for the people of the Book if they had believed. Most of them have gone astray, though there are some among them who believe.
3:111 They can do you no harm except insult. If they fight you, they will turn and flee, and they will not be helped.
3:112 They are despised wherever they are, except those who take refuge in the rope of Allah or in the rope (covenant) of men. They deserved the wrath of Allah and were condemned to poverty. For they disbelieved in the signs of Allah and killed the prophets unjustly. All this was the result of their disobedience and transgression.
3:113 But not all of them are one. There is a righteous group from among the people of the Book who recite the verses of Allah at night and prostrate themselves.
3:114 They believe in Allah and the Last Day, and they exhort to good and forbid evil and do good deeds. They are of the righteous.
3:115 None of their good deeds will go unrequited. Allah knows the righteous very well.
3:116 Those who disbelieve, neither their money nor their children will avail them anything against Allah. They are the inhabitants of the Fire and they will abide therein forever.
3:117 Their spending in the life of this world is like a freezing wind that destroys the crops of a people who wronged themselves. Allah did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves.
3:118 Believers, do not take as confidants those who do not hold back from doing evil to you and who wish you to be in distress. Their mouths overflow with hatred and malice. Greater is that which they conceal in their breasts. We have explained the verses to you, if you reflect,
3:119 "You are the ones who love them even though they do not love you! Moreover, you believe in all the Scriptures. When they meet you, they say: "We believe", but when they are alone, they bite their fingers out of anger against you. Say: "May you die in your anger."Surely Allah is Knower of the essence of the breasts."
3:120 If good befalls you, it grieves them, and if evil befalls you, they rejoice in it. If you resist hardship and act virtuously, their plots will not harm you. Allah controls all that you do.
