| بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ | |

40:82
Do they not travel through the earth to see how was the end of those before them? They were more numerous and stronger than them, and they produced more in the earth. But what they earned did not save them.

When their messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were proud of the knowledge they had with them. And that which they scoffed at enveloped them.

40:84
"When they finally see Our punishment, they say: "We have believed in Allah ONLY, and we have disbelieved in that which we associate with partners"."

40:85
It will not benefit them to believe when they see Our torment. This is the Sunnah (law) of Allah, which has always been applied to His former servants. Then the disbelievers will be losers.
