بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
46:2 The sending down of the Book is from Allah, the Exalted, the Wise.
46:3 We did not create the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except for a purpose and for a definite term. Those who disbelieve do not heed the warning.
46:4 "Say, "Look at those whom you invoke besides Allah. Show me what they have created from the earth. Or do they have a partnership in the heavens? Bring before me a book or a scientific document, if you are truthful?"
46:5 Who is more astray than those who leave Allah and call upon those who cannot answer them until the Day of Resurrection, and who are even ignorant of their prayers?
46:6 When the people are gathered together, they will be enemies to them and will oppose their servitude to them.
46:7 "When Our clear Verses were recited to them, those who opposed the truth that came to them said: "This is clearly sorcery"."
46:8 "Or do they say, "He fabricated it"? Say, "If I have fabricated it, you cannot protect me against anything from Allah. He knows best your transgression. He is sufficient as a witness between me and you. He is Forgiving, Merciful."
46:9 "Say: "I am not a messenger of any kind, nor do I know what will happen to me or to you. I follow only what has been revealed to me. I am nothing but a clear warner."
46:10 "Say, "Have you considered, what if it is from Allah and you opposed it and a witness from the Children of Israel saw the like of it and believed, but you turned away arrogantly? Surely Allah does not guide an unjust people."
46:11 "Those who disbelieve will say to those who believe, "If it were a good thing, they would not have been ahead of us,"and they will say, "This is a myth,"because they cannot find a way to it."
46:12 Before that the Book of Moses was a guide and a mercy. This is a confirming Book sent down in Arabic to warn the wrongdoers and as good tidings to those who do good.
46:13 "There is no fear for those who say: "Our Lord is Allah"and act righteously, and they will not grieve."
46:14 They are the inhabitants of Paradise; they will abide therein forever in reward for what they used to do.
46:15 "We admonished man to do good to his parents, and his mother carries him laboriously and gives birth to him laboriously. It takes thirty months from the time he is carried in his mother´s womb to his weaning. Finally, when he reaches the age of maturity and is forty years old, he says: "My Lord, direct me to be grateful for the favor You have bestowed on me and my parents and to do good deeds with which You are pleased. Correct my progeny. I am of those who repent and submit to You."
46:16 Those whom We accepted the best of their deeds and passed over their evil deeds will be among the people of Paradise. This is the true promise given to them.
46:17 "But there is another who says to his parents, "Woe to you, do you claim that I will be resurrected, though many generations have passed away before me?"The two of them said to Allah: "Pity you; please believe. Allah´s word is truth."Then he says: "This is nothing but the fables of the ancients."
46:18 Such are those who have deserved the promise of torment among the people of the jinn and mankind who have passed away. They are the losers.
46:19 For each of them there are degrees according to what they used to do. What they used to do will be repaid in full, without injustice.
46:20 "On the Day when the disbelievers will be presented to Hell, they will say: "You wasted all your good things in the life of this world and enjoyed them. Today you will see a humiliating torment for your unjust arrogance in the earth and your transgression."
