54:21
How is My punishment and My warnings!
فَـكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَاب۪ي وَنُذُرِ
|
54:22
We have made the Qur´an easy for a message; does anyone take admonition?
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْاٰنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ۟
|
54:23
Thamud also denied the warnings.
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِالنُّذُرِ
|
54:24
"They said, "Shall we follow a man from among us? Then we shall go astray and enter Hell."
فَقَالُٓوا اَبَشَراً مِنَّا وَاحِداً نَتَّبِعُهُٓۙ اِنَّٓا اِذاً لَف۪ي ضَلَالٍ وَسُعُرٍ

Has the Message been given to him from among us? He is an arrogant liar.
ءَاُلْقِيَ الذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ اَشِرٌ
|
54:26
Tomorrow they will know who the arrogant liar is.
سَيَعْلَمُونَ غَداً مَنِ الْـكَذَّابُ الْاَشِرُ

54:27
We will send the camel as a test. Watch over them, be patient.
اِنَّا مُرْسِلُوا النَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةً لَهُمْ فَارْتَقِبْهُمْ وَاصْطَبِرْۘ

Inform them that the water (with the camel) will be shared between them. Each drink will be offered in turn.
وَنَبِّئْهُمْ اَنَّ الْمَٓاءَ قِسْمَةٌ بَيْنَهُمْۚ كُلُّ شِرْبٍ مُحْتَضَرٌ

They called a friend of theirs, and he drew and slaughtered (the camel).
فَنَادَوْا صَاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاطٰى فَعَقَرَ

54:30
How are My punishments and My warnings!
فَـكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَاب۪ي وَنُذُرِ

54:31
We sent upon them a single blast, and they turned into a heap of straw gathered by a sheepherder.
اِنَّٓا اَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَـكَانُوا كَـهَش۪يمِ الْمُحْتَظِرِ

We have made the Qur´an easy for a message; does anyone take heed?
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْاٰنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ
|
54:33
The people of Lot also denied the warnings.
كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ بِالنُّذُرِ
|
54:34
We sent upon them a storm raining stones, and We saved only Lot´s family at dawn.
اِنَّٓا اَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حَاصِباً اِلَّٓا اٰلَ لُوطٍۜ نَجَّيْنَاهُمْ بِسَحَرٍۙ

As a favor from Us. This is how We reward the grateful.
نِعْمَةً مِنْ عِنْدِنَاۜ كَذٰلِكَ نَجْز۪ي مَنْ شَكَرَ

54:36
He had warned them of Our seizure, but they regarded the warnings with suspicion.
وَلَقَدْ اَنْذَرَهُمْ بَطْشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوْا بِالنُّذُرِ

54:37
They coveted his guests, so We blinded them, so taste My torment and My warnings.
وَلَقَدْ رَاوَدُوهُ عَنْ ضَيْفِه۪ فَطَمَسْنَٓا اَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوقُوا عَذَاب۪ي وَنُذُرِ

The next day a severe torment greeted their morning.
وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُمْ بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌ مُسْتَقِرٌّۚ

54:39
Taste My torment and My warnings.
فَذُوقُوا عَذَاب۪ي وَنُذُرِ

54:40
We have made the Qur´an easy for a message; does anyone take heed?
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْاٰنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ۟
