بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ
59:1 Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth glorifies Allah. He is the Exalted, the Wise.
59:2 It is He Who brought out the disbelievers from the people of the Book for the first exile. You never expected them to come out. They thought that their fortresses would protect them from Allah. But Allah came to them from a place they did not expect and struck fear in their hearts. So they destroy their houses with their own hands and the hands of the believers. O people of vision, take an example.
59:3 If Allah had not forced them to leave, He would have punished them in this world. And in the Hereafter there will be a torment of fire for them.
59:4 Because they disobeyed Allah and His messenger. Whoever disobeys Allah, Allah´s punishment is severe.
59:5 Whether you cut down a tree or leave it on its trunk, it is according to Allah´s will. He will humiliate those who go astray.
59:6 You did not ride horses and camels (you did not fight) for what Allah took from them and gave to His messenger, but Allah sends His messenger upon whom He wills. Allah is all-powerful.
59:7 What Allah has left as booty for His messenger from the peoples of those countries belongs to Allah and His messenger. So it should be given to relatives, orphans, the poor and the stranded, so that it does not become a monopoly among your rich. Take what the Messenger has given you, but keep away from what he has not given you. Listen to Allah. Allah´s punishment is severe.
59:8 Give first to the poor of the refugees who have been driven from their homes and their property because they sought the favor of Allah and His pleasure and supported Allah and His messenger. These are the righteous.
59:9 Those who had a home and a faith before them love those who emigrated to them and do not feel bitterness in their hearts because of what they have given. Even if they themselves are in need, they put them before themselves. Indeed, those who are protected from the selfishness of their souls are the saved.
59:10 "Those who come after them say, "Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who believed before us, and guard our hearts from hatred against the believers. Our Lord, you are Most Compassionate, Most Merciful"."
59:11 "Have you not noticed those who are hypocrites? The disbelievers among the people of the Book say to their friends, "If you are driven out, we will go out with you, and we will not obey anyone against you. If you are fought, we will certainly support you."Allah bears witness that they are liars."
59:12 Indeed, if they are driven out, they will not go out with them. If they are fought against, they will not support them. Even if they support them, they turn their backs and flee, then they will not be helped.
59:13 You put fear in their hearts more than Allah. For they are a people without understanding.
59:14 They cannot come together to fight you except in well-protected cities or behind walls. Their strife between them is fierce. You think them to be united, but their hearts are scattered. For they are a people who do not use their minds.
59:15 They are like those who passed away a little while before them. They tasted the recompense of what they used to do and deserved a painful torment.
59:16 "They are just like Satan: He says to man, "Deny". Then when he disbelieves, he says, "I have nothing to do with you. I fear Allah, the Lord of the universes."
59:17 They both ended up in the Fire where they will abide forever. Such is the punishment of the wrongdoers.
59:18 O you who believe, count and listen to Allah. Let each one see what he has prepared for tomorrow. Count and listen to Allah. Allah is aware of what you do.
59:19 Do not be like those who forget Allah and He makes them forget themselves. They have gone astray.
59:20 The inhabitants of Paradise and the inhabitants of Hell cannot be the same; the only winners are the inhabitants of Paradise.
