بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ

69:1 (The event) that is realized.

69:2 What is that which is realized!

69:3 How do you know what is the realization?

69:4 Thamud and Ad denied the shocking event.
3
69:5 And Thamud was destroyed by that raging.
3
69:6 And Ad was destroyed by a fierce and raging whirlwind.

69:7 He sent it upon them as a scourge for seven nights and eight days. You saw the people fall down like rotten date-palms.

69:8 Do you see any remnant of them?

69:9 Pharaoh, his predecessors and those who were overthrown (from Sodom) had committed evil.

69:10 They rebelled against the messenger of their Lord. As a result, he seized them with increasing severity.

69:11 When the waters overflowed, We carried you on a raft.

69:12 That it may be a lesson to you and that the listening ears may understand.

69:13 When the horn was blown once,

69:14 When the earth and the mountains are lifted up and crushed together and scattered,

69:15 On that Day the inevitable event took place.

69:16 The sky is split, torn asunder.

69:17 Angels are on every side. On that Day your Lord will rule over the eight (universe).

69:18 On that Day you will be revealed and nothing of yours will remain hidden.

69:19 "He who is given the Book on his right hand will say, "Take, read My Book."

69:20 I believed that I would meet my reckoning.
