71:1
"We sent Noah to his people, saying: "Warn your people before the painful torment comes upon them"."
اِنَّٓا اَرْسَلْنَا نُوحاً اِلٰى قَوْمِه۪ٓ اَنْ اَنْذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ اَل۪يمٌ
|
71:2
"He said, "O My people! Verily, I am a warner for you, clear."
قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اِنّ۪ي لَـكُمْ نَذ۪يرٌ مُب۪ينٌۙ
|
71:3
Serve Allah and honor Him and follow me.
اَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ وَاتَّقُوهُ وَاَط۪يعُونِۙ
|
71:4
"That He may forgive you your sins and postpone you until a certain term. Verily, Allah´s appointed term is not postponed, if you only knew.
يَغْفِرْ لَـكُمْ مِنْ ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُسَمًّىۜ اِنَّ اَجَلَ اللّٰهِ اِذَا جَٓاءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُۢ لَوْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

71:5
He said, "My Lord, I have called my people day and night."
قَالَ رَبِّ اِنّ۪ي دَعَوْتُ قَوْم۪ي لَيْلاً وَنَهَاراًۙ
|
71:6
But my call only increased their flight.
فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ دُعَٓاء۪ٓي اِلَّا فِرَاراً
|
71:7
Whenever I called upon them that You might forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears and covered their heads with their garments, and they resisted, and grew more and more arrogant.
وَاِنّ۪ي كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُٓوا اَصَابِعَهُمْ ف۪ٓي اٰذَانِهِمْ وَاسْتَغْشَوْا ثِيَابَهُمْ وَاَصَرُّوا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا اسْتِكْبَاراًۚ

71:8
Then I called them openly.
ثُمَّ اِنّ۪ي دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهَاراًۙ

71:9
Then I announced to them, and I spoke to them in secret.
ثُمَّ اِنّ۪ٓي اَعْلَنْتُ لَهُمْ وَاَسْرَرْتُ لَهُمْ اِسْرَاراًۙ
|
71:10
"I said, ´Ask forgiveness from your Lord; He is Most Forgiving.
فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ اِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّاراًۙ
|
71:11
"May He send you abundant rain from the sky."
يُرْسِلِ السَّمَٓاءَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِدْرَاراًۙ
|
71:12
May He support you with plenty of money and children, and give you gardens and rivers.
وَيُمْدِدْكُمْ بِاَمْوَالٍ وَبَن۪ينَ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ اَنْهَاراًۜ

71:13
What is wrong with you that you do not want to honor Allah?
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَرْجُونَ لِلّٰهِ وَقَاراًۚ
|
71:14
Yet it is He Who created you in evolutions.
وَقَدْ خَلَقَكُمْ اَطْوَاراً
|
71:15
Do you not see how Allah created the seven heavens in layers?
اَلَمْ تَرَوْا كَيْفَ خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ سَبْعَ سَمٰوَاتٍ طِبَاقاًۙ
|
71:16
He made the moon a light in them and the sun a lamp.
وَجَعَلَ الْقَمَرَ ف۪يهِنَّ نُوراً وَجَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ سِرَاجاً
|
71:17
And Allah formed you from the earth as a plant.
وَاللّٰهُ اَنْبَتَكُمْ مِنَ الْاَرْضِ نَبَاتاًۙ
|
71:18
Then He will return you to it and bring you forth again.
ثُمَّ يُع۪يدُكُمْ ف۪يهَا وَيُخْرِجُكُمْ اِخْرَاجاً
|
71:19
Allah has made the earth a dwelling place for you.
وَاللّٰهُ جَعَلَ لَـكُمُ الْاَرْضَ بِسَاطاًۙ
|
71:20
That you may travel therein in wide paths.
لِتَسْلُكُوا مِنْهَا سُبُلاً فِجَاجاً۟
