ثُمَّ نَظَرَۙ
|
74:22
Then he pouted and frowned.
ثُمَّ عَبَسَ وَبَسَرَۙ
|
74:23
And he turned his back and became arrogant:
ثُمَّ اَدْبَرَ وَاسْتَكْبَرَۙ
|
74:24
"This,"he said, "is nothing but impressive magic."
فَقَالَ اِنْ هٰذَٓا اِلَّا سِحْرٌ يُؤْثَرُۙ
|
74:25
This is only the word of a man.
اِنْ هٰذَٓا اِلَّا قَوْلُ الْبَشَرِۜ
|
74:26
I will throw him into Sakar.
سَاُصْل۪يهِ سَقَرَ
|
74:27
Do you know what Sakar is?
وَمَٓا اَدْرٰيكَ مَا سَقَرُۜ
|
74:28
It will neither release nor load,
لَا تُبْق۪ي وَلَا تَذَرُۚ
|
74:29
It is a display for the peoples.
لَـوَّاحَةٌ لِلْبَشَرِۚ
|
74:30
On it are nineteen.
عَلَيْهَا تِسْعَةَ عَشَرَۜ
|
74:31
"We have appointed only angels as guardians of the Fire, and We have made their number (nineteen) a trial for the disbelievers, to convince those who have been given the Book, to strengthen the faith of those who believe, to remove the doubts of those who have been given the Book and those who believe, and for those in whose hearts is a disease and the disbelievers to say, "What does Allah mean by this example?"So Allah leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. None knows the armies of your Lord except Himself. This (number) is a message to the people."
وَمَا جَعَلْنَٓا اَصْحَابَ النَّارِ اِلَّا مَلٰٓئِكَةًۖ وَمَا جَعَلْنَا عِدَّتَهُمْ اِلَّا فِتْنَةً لِلَّذ۪ينَ كَـفَرُواۙ لِيَسْتَيْقِنَ الَّذ۪ينَ اُو۫تُوا الْـكِتَابَ وَيَزْدَادَ الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُٓوا ا۪يمَاناً وَلَا يَرْتَابَ الَّذ۪ينَ اُو۫تُوا الْـكِتَابَ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَۙ وَلِيَقُولَ الَّذ۪ينَ ف۪ي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ وَالْـكَافِرُونَ مَاذَٓا اَرَادَ اللّٰهُ بِهٰذَا مَثَلاًۜ كَذٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللّٰهُ مَنْ يَشَٓاءُ وَيَـهْد۪ي مَنْ يَشَٓاءُۜ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ جُنُودَ رَبِّكَ اِلَّا هُوَۜ وَمَا هِيَ اِلَّا ذِكْرٰى لِلْبَشَرِ۟

|
كَلَّا وَالْقَمَرِۙ
|
74:33
To the night when it passes,
وَالَّيْلِ اِذْ اَدْبَرَۙ
|
74:34
When the morning dawns,
وَالصُّبْحِ اِذَٓا اَسْفَرَۙ
|
74:35
This is one of the great ones.
اِنَّهَا لَاِحْدَى الْـكُبَرِۙ
|
74:36
A warning to the people.
نَذ۪يراً لِلْبَشَرِۙ
|
74:37
For those of you who wish to advance or remain behind.
لِمَنْ شَٓاءَ مِنْكُمْ اَنْ يَتَقَدَّمَ اَوْ يَتَاَخَّرَۜ
|
74:38
Each person is condemned by his own sin.
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ رَه۪ينَةٌۙ
|
74:39
Except those on the right hand;
اِلَّٓا اَصْحَابَ الْيَم۪ينِۜۛ
|
74:40
They are in the heavens, they ask,
ف۪ي جَنَّاتٍۜۛ يَتَسَٓاءَلُونَۙ
