|
عَنِ الْمُجْرِم۪ينَۙ
|
74:42
What has brought you into this punishment?
مَا سَلَـكَكُمْ ف۪ي سَقَرَ
|
74:43
"They will say, "We would not support"
قَالُوا لَمْ نَكُ مِنَ الْمُصَلّ۪ينَۙ
|
74:44
We would not feed the poor.
وَلَمْ نَكُ نُطْعِمُ الْمِسْك۪ينَۙ
|
74:45
We used to dive with those who dive into vain things.
وَكُنَّا نَخُوضُ مَعَ الْخَٓائِض۪ينَۙ
|
74:46
We used to deny the Day of Judgment.
وَكُنَّا نُكَذِّبُ بِيَوْمِ الدّ۪ينِۙ
|
74:47
At last (now) we have reached the certain truth.
حَتّٰٓى اَتٰينَا الْيَق۪ينُۜ
|
74:48
The intercession of intermediaries will not benefit them.
فَمَا تَنْفَعُهُمْ شَفَاعَةُ الشَّافِع۪ينَۜ
|
74:49
So why do they turn away from this message?
فَمَا لَهُمْ عَنِ التَّذْكِرَةِ مُعْرِض۪ينَۙ
|
74:50
Like frightened zebras,
كَاَنَّهُمْ حُمُرٌ مُسْتَنْفِرَةٌۙ
|
74:51
The one who flees from the lion.
فَرَّتْ مِنْ قَسْوَرَةٍۜ
|
74:52
Nay, every one of them wishes that he should be given specially opened pages.
بَلْ يُر۪يدُ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ اَنْ يُؤْتٰى صُحُفاً مُنَشَّرَةًۙ
|
74:53
Indeed, they do not fear the Hereafter.
كَلَّاۜ بَلْ لَا يَخَافُونَ الْاٰخِرَةَۜ
|
74:54
Indeed, this is an admonition.
كَلَّٓا اِنَّهُ تَذْكِرَةٌۚ
|
74:55
He who wishes takes admonition from it.
فَمَنْ شَٓاءَ ذَكَرَهُۜ
|
74:56
Unless Allah wills, they will not take admonition. It (the Qur´an) is the source of righteous behavior, the source of forgiveness.
وَمَا يَذْكُرُونَ اِلَّٓا اَنْ يَشَٓاءَ اللّٰهُۜ هُوَ اَهْلُ التَّقْوٰى وَاَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ
