84:1
When the sky cracks.
اِذَا السَّمَٓاءُ انْشَقَّتْۙ
|
84:2
And when it hearkens to its Lord according to its nature.
وَاَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْۙ
|
84:3
When the earth is flattened,
وَاِذَا الْاَرْضُ مُدَّتْۙ
|
84:4
That he emptied himself of his contents,
وَاَلْقَتْ مَا ف۪يهَا وَتَخَلَّتْۙ
|
84:5
And when he heeds his Lord according to his natural nature.
وَاَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْۜ
|
84:6
O man, you strive towards your Lord, and in the end you will meet Him.
يَٓا اَيُّهَا الْاِنْسَانُ اِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ كَدْحاً فَمُلَاق۪يهِۚ
|
84:7
Whose Book is given from the right hand,
فَاَمَّا مَنْ اُو۫تِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَم۪ينِه۪ۙ
|
84:8
He will be brought to an easy reckoning,
فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَاباً يَس۪يراًۙ
|
84:9
And he will return to his friends rejoicing.
وَيَنْقَلِبُ اِلٰٓى اَهْلِه۪ مَسْرُوراًۜ
|
84:10
And he whose Book is given behind him,
وَاَمَّا مَنْ اُو۫تِيَ كِتَابَهُ وَرَٓاءَ ظَهْرِه۪ۙ
|
84:11
He will desire to perish,
فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُوا ثُبُوراًۙ
|
84:12
And he will burn in a fire.
وَيَصْلٰى سَع۪يراًۜ
|
84:13
Yet he rejoiced among his friends;
اِنَّهُ كَانَ ف۪ٓي اَهْلِه۪ مَسْرُوراً
|
84:14
He thought that he would never return (to his Lord).
اِنَّهُ ظَنَّ اَنْ لَنْ يَحُورَۚۛ
|
84:15
Indeed, his Lord sees him.
بَلٰىۚۛ اِنَّ رَبَّهُ كَانَ بِه۪ بَص۪يراًۜ
|
84:16
And the redness of the evening,
فَلَٓا اُقْسِمُ بِالشَّفَقِۙ
|
84:17
What the night gathers,
وَالَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَۙ
|
|
وَالْقَمَرِ اِذَا اتَّسَقَۙ
|
84:19
You will pass from stage to stage.
لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقاً عَنْ طَبَقٍۜ
|
84:20
So why do they not believe?
فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَۙ
