بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ

89:1 And certainly the time of the dawn,

89:2 Ten nights,
1
89:3 Even and odd,
0
89:4 And the passing night.
0
89:5 Are not these an oath for those who have intelligence?
10
89:6 Have you not seen what your Lord did to the people of Ad?

89:7 Irem with its high towers;
5
89:8 which had no equal in any land?
9
89:9 To Thamud who carved the rocks of the valley?

89:10 And Pharaoh with the pyramids?
6
89:11 All of them were corrupt in their land.

89:12 They spread evil therein.
5
89:13 So your Lord rained down upon them various calamities.

89:14 Your Lord is ever watching.

89:15 "When his Lord gives to man abundantly to test him, he says: "My Lord has been generous to me"."

89:16 "But when his Lord tests him by withholding his sustenance, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me."

89:17 No! Surely you are not generous to the orphan?

89:18 You do not encourage one another to feed the poor.

89:19 And you eat the inheritance unjustly.

89:20 And you love money too much.
