91:1
And certainly the sun and its light,
وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحٰيهَاۙۖ
|
91:2
To the moon that follows it,
وَالْقَمَرِ اِذَا تَلٰيهَاۙۖ
|
91:3
To the day that reveals it,
وَالنَّهَارِ اِذَا جَلّٰيهَاۙۖ
|
91:4
The night that covers it,
وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا يَغْشٰيهَاۙۖ
|
91:5
The heaven and him who established it,
وَالسَّمَٓاءِ وَمَا بَنٰيهَاۙۖ
|
91:6
The earth and him who rolled it up,
وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَا طَحٰيهَاۙۖ
|
91:7
The soul and the one who arranges it,
وَنَفْسٍ وَمَا سَوّٰيهَاۙۖ
|
91:8
Then by Him Who informs him of his vice and his virtue;
فَاَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوٰيهَاۙۖ
|
91:9
He who cleanses it is saved.
قَدْ اَفْلَحَ مَنْ زَكّٰيهَاۙۖ
|
91:10
And he who leaves it unattended has suffered loss.
وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنْ دَسّٰيهَاۜ
|
91:11
Thamud (people) denied because of their rebellion.
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوٰيهَاۙۖ
|
91:12
The most unruly of them rose up.
اِذِ انْبَعَثَ اَشْقٰيهَاۙۖ
|
91:13
"Allah´s Messenger had said to them: "Do not touch the camel of Allah and its water"."
فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللّٰهِ نَاقَةَ اللّٰهِ وَسُقْيٰيهَا۠
|
91:14
They denied him and slaughtered the camel. Then their Lord destroyed them for their crime.
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَاۙۖ فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِذَنْبِهِمْ فَسَوّٰيهَاۙۖ
|
91:15
But still no lesson is learned from their end
وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبٰيهَا
|
