Prophet Abraham - 14:41
Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and those who believe on the Day of Reckoning.
How do the believers ask forgiveness?

"They who say: "Our Lord, we have believed, forgive us our sins and protect us from the torment of Hell"."

"Those who remember Allah while standing, sitting and lying on their sides. They think about the structure and creation of the heavens and the earth: "Our Lord, You did not create them in vain, You are exalted, protect us from the torment of the Fire."

The Family Of Imran/3:135
Those who, when they commit a sin or wrong themselves, remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their sins. Who can forgive sins except Allah? And they do not go on sinning knowingly.
The Women/4:64
We have sent every messenger, by Allah´s permission, only that he may be obeyed. If they had come to you when they had wronged themselves and asked Allah for forgiveness of their sins, and the messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would certainly have found Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
The Women/4:110
Whoever commits an evil deed or wrongs his own soul and then seeks forgiveness from Allah, he will find Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
