The Romans - 30:9
Do they not travel through the earth and see how was the end of those before them? They were stronger than them, they cultivated the land and produced more than them. Their messengers had gone to them with clear proofs. It was not Allah who wronged them; they wronged themselves.
There are remnants of destroyed societies on the earth:

As dawn was breaking, a catastrophic noise seized them.

We turned it upside down, and We sent down upon them hard stones made of mud.

In this are lessons for those who investigate.

We will send down upon this city a calamity from the sky because they have gone astray.

We left some ruins from there as a clear lesson for a people who use their reason.

Then We destroyed the others.

You are passing by its ruins; in the morning,

And at night. Do you not use your intellect?
