Satan made the polytheists serve the angels in the presence of Allah by describing them as the daughters of Allah. This was a good excuse for the polytheists to kill the daughters they disliked:
The Cattle/6:137 So their associates (who judge in the name of God) made even killing their children seem a good thing to most of the polytheists. Thus they ruined them and confused and corrupted their religion. Had Allah willed, they could not have done this. Stay away from them and what they fabricate.
The Cattle/6:140 Those who slander Allah in their ignorance and kill their children foolishly and forbid what Allah has provided for them, have lost, they are lost. They cannot see the truth.

The Star/53:26 Even the intercession of the angels in the heavens is of no avail. Only after Allah permits it for whom He wills and it is in accordance with His pleasure...
The Star/53:27 Those who do not believe in the Hereafter describe the angels as female.
Those Who Set The Ranks/37:149 Ask them, their daughters to your Lord and their sons to themselves
Those Who Set The Ranks/37:150 Or did We create the angels female before their eyes?
Those Who Set The Ranks/37:151 Indeed they say because of what they fabricate:

Those Who Set The Ranks/37:153 Did He prefer girls to boys?
Those Who Set The Ranks/37:154 What has become of you, how do you decide?
Those Who Set The Ranks/37:155 Do you not take admonition?
